                OSCAR MURIU

                           Senior Pastor - Ngong Road      

Oscar dedicated his life to Christ in 1983, and has served as the Senior Pastor of the Nairobi Chapel since 1991 He holds a B.Sc.(Zoology) from the University of Delhi in India, and an M. Div. from the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology. (NEGST) His personal mssion is to raise up a legacy of African leaders for the Church of Christ worldwide. Pastor Oscar and his wife Bea have three daughters - Ciru, Ciku and Wanja.

              CHARLES NG'ANG'A

                                      Pastor - Mamlaka


Pastor Charles is a graduate of Nairobi University (BA) and served as a marketing executive with Delmonte and ALICO and thereafter run a private broker firm before proceeding to NEGST to study for a Masters in Divinity. Upon graduation, he joined Nairobi Baptist Church as the Pastor for Adult Ministry where he served for 5years. He was involved in helping plant Karen Community Church while still a student at NEGST.His wife Maggie works at NEGST as the registrar, and together they have 3 teenage children (2 boys and a girl).

                JANET MUTINDA

                                    Associate - Mamlaka

Upon graduating from the University of Nairobi with a B.A. in Sociology and Linguistics, Janet joined the Chapel's Internship Program and began to minister to campus students. She later pursued a Masters in Divinity at the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology, NEGST. Her vision is to mentor and equip youth in preparation for leadership. She is married to Tim Mutinda.

 

MURIITHI WANJAU

(Lead Pastor - Mombasa Road) -

Muriithi gave his life to Christ in 1986. Upon completing his degree in B.Sc. Pharmacy, he joined the internship program in 1992, where he explored his gifts of leadership and teaching. In 1996 he went to Fuller Theological College to pursue an M. Div, and graduated in 1999. He returned to Kenya and rejoined our staff as the Pastor for Outreach in 2001. His desire is to help Christians grow in their faith to the point where they influence those around them for Christ. He and his wife Carol have one daughter, Muini.

 

 

 

GOWI ODERA

Pastor - Mashariki Chapel

Gowi gave his life to Christ as a young boy. A few years later in high school a preacher came up to him after service at school and told him that he would go into full-time ministry. Although he did become involved in ministry, he brushed this prophecy aside until God made it clear to him a few years ago that this was His plan for Gowi's life.
Prior to joining Chapel, Gowi was involved with young people for over ten years at Nairobi Baptist Church. And from 1998 to April 2002 he served as Associate Director East Africa with Youth for Christ International, where he coordinated the recruiting, training and commissioning of youth workers and also facilitated fundraising. He holds BA degrees in Economics and Political Science, and a Certificate in Relevant Youth Ministry.

 

 

 

DAVID GITHUGU

Lead Pastor - Waiyaki Way


A lawyer by profession, David left his legal career in answer to God's call to serve as a pastor here at the Chapel. He has served as Ekklesia Pastor since 2002. David gave his life to Christ as a high school student. As a member of the Chapel, David was previously involved as a service, worship, and Ekklesia leader. Before joining Chapel in 1996, he served as a youth leader in the PCEA church (local, parish and regional levels). David joined NEGST in 2003; he is pursuing an MA in Biblical Studies. He and his wife Pauline have a son - Githugu Mwangi.
